Sailor Moon fans will rejoice at the news that a themed cafe is opening in Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya this autumn with a special menu of burgers, curry, desserts, and other dishes.

The Naoko Takeuchi franchise may well be 25 years old but is still going strong. It has already spawned manga, anime, musicals, concerts, cosmetics items, and so much more, and there was also a previous cafe in Roppongi last year.

This time, the Sailor Moon Cafe 2017 will be open in Tokyo from September 22nd to October 29th, with concurrent stints in Osaka (September 28th to November 5th) and Nagoya (September 29th to November 5th).

Perusing the menu, diners will immediately lick their lips at the prospect of the Good Friends Luna and Artemis Burger, which features the cats Luna and Artemis. If you prefer Tuxedo Mask, then be sure try this Tuxedo Mask Jet-Black Curry (note the rose petals). Other highlights include a croissant cut into a crescent moon.

In fact, though, the most impressive items on the menu are the desserts, including pancakes, waffles, cheesecake and parfait. Drinks include soda and smoothies, while available takeout options are a pastry and original pouch and lemonade and bottle.

Most of the dishes are priced between ¥1,300 and ¥1,700, so, while hardly the cheapest cafe fare out there, a visit is hardly going to break the bank either.

Reservations can be made online on the official website (Japanese only).

These kinds of pop-up cafe spaces are extremely popular in Japan, offering opportunities for fans to immerse themselves in the worlds of their favorite franchise (anime, manga, video game, and so on).
